Hi CBA team
nice to meet you,
Iām a passionate Product Designer ready to make an impact
I am writing to express my keen interest in the Product Designer Graduate Role at Commwealth Bank (CBA). As a career changer from fashion design to UX design, I am fervent about creating meaningful and seamless user experiences that enhance satisfaction and efficiency. My educational background, extensive skill set, and passion for innovation align perfectly with the values and goals of CBA.
During my time at General Assembly's UX/UI Design Immersive program, my Bachelor of Design in Fashion & Textiles and Diploma of Innovation at the UTS, I gained valuable insights into design thinking and research methodologies. My education provided me with a strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, user research, and prototyping, allowing me to iteratively create user-centric solutions.
One of my most impactful experiences was leading a team in the Bodhi Holistic Hub project at General Assembly. Through extensive user research, including interviews and usability testing, we identified pain points and designed a referral program that predicted a 5% user sharing rate and double conversion. The success of this project instilled in me a deep appreciation for effective information architecture and user flow aligned with the client's vision.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with Vinnies to enhance donation experiences and increase trust in the charity sector. Through comprehensive user research, surveys, and interviews, we gained valuable insights into donation behaviors and designed a landing page that successfully motivated people to donate.
Having experience working in cross-functional teams, I understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration with developers and product managers. During my tenure at Hotsprings, managing key client accounts such as Big W, Seafolly, and Best & Less, I developed strong client relationship management skills while delivering end-to-end design solutions that aligned with clients' price constraints.
During my time at university, I participated in a transformative subject in Indonesia, where I engaged with local communities and designed a successful marketing campaign to address the smoking issue. This experience provided valuable insights into effectively communicating with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The campaign's impact was so significant that it led to the mayor of Ambon banning tobacco companies from sponsoring public events in the city.
As I embark on my journey as a UX/UI Designer, I am eager to join a company that values creativity and fosters a collaborative environment. The diverse portfolio of brands and emphasis on creativity driving design and success at Commonwealth Bank strongly resonates with me.
I am a dedicated, vibrant individual with a passion for design and a desire to contribute positively to your team and clients. With a strong commitment to continuous learning and growth, I am eager to take on new challenges and drive positive change through design.
I am excited about the possibility of joining Commwealth Bank as a Product Designer Graduate and contributing to the company's success. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss further how my skills and experiences align with the role.
Sincerely,
